Administrative, Procurement & Logistics Officer
Job description
Administrative, Procurement & Logistics Officer
From procurement administration and supplier management to international shipments: you ensure our projects keep moving. Would you like to work in an international environment where your efforts directly contribute to sustainable energy projects in Africa? Then this is your opportunity.
What will you do?
As an Administrative, Procurement & Logistics Officer, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of administrative, logistics, and procurement processes within the organization. You make sure materials are available on time, shipments are arranged correctly, and administrative records are accurate. In doing so, you make a valuable contribution to projects that literally bring energy to communities where reliable electricity is not a given.
One day, you may be processing purchase orders and checking deliveries. The next day, you could be organizing an international shipment, coordinating with suppliers, or ensuring that all export documentation is complete and accurate. Meanwhile, you keep the administration up to date and ensure that colleagues in the workshop always have the materials they need to continue building.
You work closely with engineers, project managers, workshop staff, and management. You will also have regular contact with suppliers, freight forwarders, accountants, and international partners. It is precisely this combination of administration, procurement, and logistics that makes the role so diverse and engaging.
You will be part of a small, dedicated team with short communication lines. This means you interact daily with colleagues across the organization, see the direct impact of your work, and are given significant responsibility.
What are we looking for?
You enjoy structure but remain calm when plans change. You work accurately, take ownership of your responsibilities, and enjoy switching between different tasks and stakeholders. You feel comfortable in a small organization where colleagues rely on one another and teamwork is essential.
In addition, you bring:
Higher professional education level (HBO) or equivalent working and thinking level;
Experience with administrative processes and systems, preferably ERP software;
Strong command of both Dutch and English;
Experience in an administrative, procurement, or logistics role is an advantage.
What can you expect?
Working at Independent Energy means contributing to projects that truly matter. While you ensure that processes run smoothly, thousands of people gain access to reliable energy through the collective efforts of the team. This makes the role far more meaningful than a standard administrative or logistics position.
In addition, we offer:
A gross monthly salary between €3,250 and €4,500;
Profit-sharing opportunities;
Flexible working hours;
The possibility to work from home occasionally;
A modern office in Haarlem;
An informal working environment, including Friday afternoon social gatherings.
